Thanksgiving at the Ranch

Dave-o was about Loni's age the last time we went to the Zinn Ranch for Thanksgiving. We are all so grateful to have been invited this year. When your at the ranch, worldly cares and worries seem to vanish. This Thanksgiving was spent with 23 wonderful people who I love very much.
Happily, Dave-o and Loni found that the snow didn't melt overnight.
My helper with the stuffing.
Justin, David, and Dad Zinn went horseback riding to work up an appetite for the feast. Loni was afraid to ride Sancho. She only stayed on for a minute.
Happy birthday Mitchell!
The combined efforts of everyone led to some AMAZING food.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving

I love Thanksgiving. Cooking the copious amount of food is a joy that I look forward to each year. The boys enjoy spending their morning playing Turkey Ball equally as much.
Once our feast was over, we drove to the theater to watch the Peanut Movie. It was a nice and relaxing family day.

Breaking Bread

As a child, I remember being given the task of breaking loaves of stale bread into bite sized pieces for our Thanksgiving stuffing. I loved this responsibility. My mind would always wander to weekly Sacrament Meetings where worthy priesthood holders would break the bread for all to partake of the Sacrament.

In the Bible, the breaking of bread was associated with a prayer of thanksgiving and had a religious significance of fellowship in sharing and enjoying the blessings of God. This Thanksgiving I am grateful for a wonderful family to sit and "break bread" with. They are my life and my joy.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I love all of the baking that goes in to the feast and the aroma that fills the home. I typically spend two days prepping and baking for this special day. However, with my body still recovering from birthing a child, I relied heavily on David's culinary skills. I think we made a great team; he the head chef and myself as sous chef. Melissa, Parker, and Lily brought over an apple and pumpkin pie, which completed the thanksgiving dinner. (thank you Parker)
After dinner, we all hung out. Some of the boys watched football, while others of us played Mario Cart. We ended the evening watching Miracle on 34th Street. There are many things for which I am thankful for this year. The biggest one is seeing our family grow to eight. Lonetta has already brought so much love into our home in these two short weeks. She has single handily tamed some of my wild beasts.

Lily chilled out with Justin for a long time.
