Ranch: Week One
Another summer we get to spend at the Zinn ranch. The first week was filled with many adventures. We kept busy in the mornings helping out around the property, like, pulling tall grass in the ponds, clipping bushes, pulling thistles, etc. We had fun getting to know our newest cousin, Emmy. We rode the ATV's, went swimming, swinging, running through sprinklers. Kirsten was courageous and went to Girls Camp with a group unfamiliar to her as an ACL over crafts and the 2nd years. She came home more confident and made some lasting friendships. We played basketball, jumped on the trampoline, watched thunderstorms roll through, caught butterflies and frogs, roasted S'mores. The highlight of the week was going through the Rexburg temple with Mary, who was taking out her own endowments. Amazing experience! Love that girl! That same day, we excitedly picked up Mike and Stacy and their children from the airport. And this was just one week. (June 22-July 1)

Father's Bring Instant Relief
This Father's Day was HOT! After Stake Conference, we all huddled around the window AC unit. I kept asking David if he wanted to drive somewhere cooler and he kept saying that he wanted to stay home. But, even David has a breaking point. The moment came at around 4ish when the AC unit couldn't keep up with the 110 degree heat outside. Enough was enough. We ran to the car and drove to Montara State Beach (just outside of Pacifica) for instant relief. It was 70 degrees here.
In a world where fathers are less and less present in their children's lives, I'd like to pay tribute to this dad who is actively engaged in the lives of each of his children. Where I am weak, he is strong. We all rely on this strength to hold us together. Happy Father's Day David!!
